Three Sams
I’m going to share the secret of feeling young. It’s working alongside colleagues under the age of 24 years of age. Okay, maybe I don’t always feel young and sometimes I probably feel like their mother but we have a good working relationship. I have the pleasure of working with the younger members of staff, who all have the same name, Sam! Yes, we have three Sams.
You would think working with three Sam’s it would be confusing and challenging, however they all come with their own individuality and uniqueness and I only have to remember one name! At my age that is a good thing.
I’m going to refer to each Sam as Sam 1, Sam 2 and Sam 3.
Sam 1
The first Sam I worked with when joining Wallers, Sam 1, is the contract manager for our Southern Housing contract. We have worked together for the past 2 years, and we ensure that we both offer our client the best possible service. Sam has guided me through the procedures we use, but he will soon be off to manage other contracts, giving the Southern Housing contract to our apprentice to grow and learn from.
Sam 2
The second Sam is the company glazier and we work together on minor glazing repairs. Sam 2 and I have worked together over the past 9 months and our working relationship enables us to respond to enquiries quickly and efficiently. I enjoy listening to Sam 2 talking about his family life, which includes his partner and young son.
Sam 3
The third Sam is the newest Sam to the company. He joined us in September 2023 on an apprenticeship and will be working with me on the Southern Housing contract in the future.
I’m so lucky to work alongside such great colleagues, even the one’s not named Sam! But every company should have three Sams!

In addition to building works, we also carry out works from window and hinge repairs through to complete aluminium and uPVC window and door installations.
