Tymberwood Academy Phase Two Window Replacement

Waller Glazing carried out the Tymberwood Academy phase two window replacement during the summer holidays. Two years ago we installed new aluminium windows to half of the school building. The school was very keen to convert the remaining single glazed windows over to aluminium double glazed windows when the budget was avaliable. Each section was replaced with aluminium double glazed windows and coloured infill panels. Aluminium, double doors containing double glazed safety glass were also installed. Additionally, we installed solar controlled glass into all of the south facing windows which will make life much more pleasant for pupils and teaching staff during the summer months. The solar controlled glass will ensure that the temperature is cooler during hot sunny days. Finally, we fitted blue metallic infill panels to match the school colours. To ensure that construction legislation was met, safety glass was installed in all areas.

The whole school is now completely double glazed which will increase the thermal efficiency of the school meaning that the heating cost will be lower in the future.
