Rochester School Toilet Refurbishment

We delivered this toilet refurbishment project at a school in Rochester during the Easter holidays. Working within a two-week programme, we stripped out the existing facilities and installed a complete set of new, modern replacements.

The original toilets had become dated and were no longer fit for purpose, with ongoing issues around cleanliness and odour. All existing fixtures and finishes—including sanitaryware, cubicles, washbasins, wall tiles and flooring—were removed, leaving a blank canvas ready for refurbishment.

The New Facilities

Following the strip-out, we installed new, brightly coloured toilet cubicles alongside rear duct panelling and modern sanitaryware. A new trough-style vanity unit was fitted to improve both functionality and ease of maintenance, and hygienic wall cladding was installed throughout.

Hygiene cladding offers several key benefits, including enhanced infection control, reduced maintenance requirements, long-term durability in high-traffic, moisture-prone environments—making it particularly well suited to school settings.

This project formed part of a wider programme of works to upgrade toilet facilities across the school. We are scheduled to return during the summer holidays to complete further refurbishments.
