Further to the announcement made last night (Monday 23rd March) by the prime minister, we have made the difficult decision to stop all non-essential works for the time being (expected for at least the next 3 weeks). We have spent all morning deciding if we had made the right decision but when you read and digest the governments instructions it really is quite clear:
Stay at home
Only go outside for food, health reasons or essential work
Just because construction is not on the non-essential list of businesses does not, by definition, make it an essential service and I hope this will be clarified later today. Additionally many of our suppliers are already temporality closing.
We feel it necessary to close the business to protect both our customers and our staff from the effects of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). We thank you for your patience & understanding and please rest assured that we will provide all the support we can during this difficult period. Essential members of staff will be working from home to ensure that critical areas of the business remain operational and our team are still contactable by email or phone should you have any issues or concerns.
