College Window Project Completed
Waller Glazing Services has just completed this window installation at Broadstairs College. The original windows were wooden framed in the college’s Inspire building have been upgraded to aluminium, double glazed windows. The project was to replace all of the windows in the rear elevation of the building. The new windows will improve security and the building’s thermal efficiency which will help to lower future energy costs. In addition the new windows have improved the look of the building, along with the re-pointing works carried out by Waller Building Services, the Inspire building looks as good as new.
The Inspire Building
The Inspire Building houses essential course subjects including catering, beauty and hairdressing. During the summer, the building is effected by direct sunlight which can make the rooms feel extremely hot. To combat this the glass has a silver solar film applied which will make the classrooms feel cooler in the summer and help retain heat in the winter.
