New School Reception Area

A school in Maidstone asked us to look at planning a new reception area. Palace Wood’s reception didn’t function the way they desired. The school asked Waller Building to alter the layout to make it more secure as well as create more space. There was a canopy to protect visitors from the weather while they waited outside before being allowed into the building. Unfortunately the canopy had deteriorated. This restricted daylight from entering the reception which made it dark. By installing a glazed partition with a mag-lock controlled door, a new bespoke reception desk with a service window and the removal of the canopy, we were able to create a safe, secure and sunlit lobby.
