School Wrap Around Facility

The school wanted to offer its pupils complete wrap-around care — childcare provided before and after the conventional school day for primary school-aged children. To make this possible, the school decided to repurpose an area that had previously been used for storage and offices. As part of the upgrade, they also required a new kitchen area. We were asked to convert one of the larger rooms into a fully functional kitchen for breakfast and after-school clubs.

The Project

We started by stripping the room back to its bare shell, removing all fixtures, fittings, and finishes to create a clean space to work from. This preparation allowed us to move efficiently into the installation phase.

Working closely with the wrap-around care supervisor, we designed a bespoke kitchen that suited the needs of both staff and pupils. Once the design was finalised, we installed new cupboards, worktops, and modern kitchen appliances to create a practical and efficient workspace.

To complete the transformation, we laid durable, easy-to-clean flooring and carried out all necessary electrical work to bring the kitchen up to modern standards. Finally, we decorated the space throughout, giving it a bright and welcoming look that fits perfectly within the school environment.

Safe and Homely Feel

Once our work was complete, the school added a large dining table to the new kitchen area. This finishing touch helped create a safe, comfortable, and homely atmosphere where pupils can relax and enjoy breakfast or after-school activities.

The completed project gave the school a modern, functional, and inviting space that supports its wrap-around care programme and enhances the overall school experience for pupils and staff alike.
