New Windows for School Science Block

We were awarded this new windows for School science block project via a school sustainable energy consultant.

As part of their ongoing commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions within the education sector, Zenergi Ltd was appointed to oversee an energy efficiency upgrade at Chancellors School. A key element of the project involved replacing outdated, single-glazed timber windows with modern, high-performance alternatives.

Zenergi approached our team to deliver this critical upgrade, focusing on improving thermal performance, safety, soundproofing and overall aesthetics. We were awarded the window tender package to complete the full replacement of windows in the school’s science block.

Project Objectives

  • Replace inefficient, single-glazed wooden windows with uPVC double-glazed units

  • Enhance energy efficiency and support the school’s net zero ambitions

  • Improve internal soundproofing and external noise reduction

  • Strengthen site security through modern window specifications

  • Deliver a modernised aesthetic in keeping with the school’s character

  • Complete works within a limited timeframe to minimise disruption

Our Solution

Following a detailed assessment and liaison with the project team at Zenergi, we planned and executed a full window replacement across the science block. Our solution included:

  • Installation of Dual-Coloured uPVC Frames
We fitted energy-efficient, double-glazed uPVC windows featuring white internal frames to complement classroom interiors and brown external frames to blend with the building’s façade.

  • Rapid Turnaround
The entire removal and installation process was completed in just four days, allowing the school to continue operations with minimal disruption.

  • High Standards of Workmanship
Our experienced installation team ensured precision fitting, airtight sealing, and full site clean-up on completion.

Outcomes

Energy Efficiency: The new windows significantly improved insulation, reducing heat loss and lowering energy consumption—contributing directly to the school’s net zero targets. ✅

Enhanced Security: Modern locking mechanisms and robust frame construction enhanced on-site safety. ✅

Improved Acoustics: Classrooms now benefit from better soundproofing, creating a quieter learning environment. ✅

Aesthetic Improvement: The dual-colour frames provided a fresh, clean internal look and a consistent external appearance in line with existing architecture. ✅

On-Time, On-Budget Delivery: The works were completed ahead of schedule and without exceeding the allocated budget. ✅

Conclusion

This project showcases our capability to deliver high-quality, sustainable building solutions within the education sector—on time, to specification, and with minimal disruption to school operations. Our collaborative approach and attention to detail make us a trusted delivery partner within the education sector. The school love the new windows which look great. In addition, they will also lower energy costs meaning lower energy bills.
