Bexleyheath School Toilet Refurbishment

We carried out this Bexleyheath school toilet refurbishment for Pelham Primary School in the London Borough of Bexley. The school was looking to update a number of their pupil toilet facilities. They asked to proceed with the first set of toilets after we provided reconfiguration drawings which would utilise the current space. The main objective was to create more space allowing for additional toilet cubicles.

This was achieved by blocking up a unused doorway and utilising the immediate floor space. We managed to replace the original 3 cubicles with five new high grade laminate replacements.

New Modern Look

We were able to create a new modern look by updating the vanity unit. In addition we removed a very old urinal trough which would remove future unwanted smells. The school was considering changing the toilets from a boys to a girls facility and this fitted into their plans perfectly. New vinyl flooring was laid and the area was completely decorated. Additionally, we formed a new small cupboard which concealed a water cylinder. The final part of the refurbishment was to replace a door that was beyond repair with a new steel door.

Works Carried Out During Term Time

Due to our work schedule being completely booked out during the school holidays, we carried out the refurbishment during school term time. This was achieved by a comprehensive works schedule and regular communication with the school and the school trust’s estate manager. In addition, all of our staff and contractors hold enhanced DBS certificates and the school had the ability to log into our website’s safeguarding portal to view each Waller operative that visited the site.
