New School External Toilet Block

Despite the school building only being five years old, the facilities for students at breaktime were limited. The Academy Trust were keen to add additional toilets and handwashing basins for the pupils. The answer was to construct a new school external toilet block. Due to the lack of internal space, the only practical option was to use an external location.

The trust produced an outline plan which was put out to tender which Waller Building and Glazing Services were successful in winning.

Off Site Assembley

The works were carried out during the summer holidays which included new drainage, electrical and water connection. Due to a restricted timeline available to carry out the works, the main part of the construction was carried out off  site in modular sections and lifted into position when required.

The materials used were selected for their ease of maintenence and durability. The existing envelope of the toilets was located next the main school which provided an attractive addition to the building. Just off the main playground, the new school external toilet block provides a convenient facility that can be used easily.
