Library Windows

Waller Glazing Services was successful in winning the tender to replace the library windows and doors at Brooklands College. The project required the upgrading of over 100 windows and infill panels. Additionally, the fire exit doors were also to be replaced. The original windows were wooden framed and single glazed, we replaced these with uPVC double glazed windows. After installation, the new windows now meet a u-value of 1.6. Likewise, there is an improvement of 1.1 u-value with the new infill panels. This improves the heat retention significatly. Each window was glazed with toughened safety glass. This has a low e coating. Additionally Teleflex winders were installed which allows for the easy opening of high level windows.

The project was completed within 4 weeks and on time. Consequently there was no disruption to the students.
