Girl’s Grammar School Window Replacement

Waller Glazing Services carried out this girl’s grammar school window replacement project during the COVID-19 lockdown. The project was scheduled to go ahead during the Easter holidays but due to the Corona virus outbreak the school had to remain closed to everyone. The school partially re-opened after the Easter period for pupils whose parents were key workers. As only a small area of the school was open due to the ongoing situation we were able to install the new windows. Strict social distancing rules were imposed and the government’s COVID-19 back to work guidelines were adhered to by our fitters.

Old Crittal Windows Replaced

The school is replacing the existing windows in sections around the building as and when funding is available. The original windows are Crittal, single glazed with asbestos panels and not energy efficient. The asbestos panels were removed safely by a registered contractor before we ripped out the current windows. We then replaced the original windows with white uPVC, double glazed windows which enhance the look of the building. Additionally, the double glazed windows improve the security and are more energy efficient. This means that the school will save future energy costs.
