Blocked Fire Exit Re-opening

We carried out the following blocked fire exit re-opening project. After previously working closely with The Swale Academy Trust. Westlands secondary school contacted us. They asked us to investigate the possibility of re-opening an old fire exit. Meetings with building control produced the necessary drawings and documentation. They were required for the works to have full building regulation approval. The project involved the removal of the existing partitions and walls. We also fitted new floor coverings and carried out decoration to classrooms. High visibility anti-slip stair nosing’s was installed to existing steps. Additionally, contrasting hand rails were fitted which improves the safety.
