Milton Court Academy’s ongoing refurbishment works are moving along at an impressive pace. The project to upgrade the 1840s building started in the summer and will continue until Easter. Some of the areas that are being upgraded are; the heating system, toilet refurbishment, perimeter fencing and new aluminium windows. A major area of the works is classroom refurbishment. The classrooms are getting a makeover which includes plastering the walls and decoration. Lower suspended ceilings will give a fresh modern look and reduce heating costs. Additionally, carpets are being laid and aluminium, double glazed, windows are being installed where needed.
New areas are being reconfigurated to provide better teaching areas and facilities such as a larger reception area and improved toilet layouts. These subtle changes will improve the school’s working enviroment but also ensure that the character of the building remains.
