A Year at Waller World!
I can’t believe that I’ve been working for a year at Waller World. It’s gone so fast and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. When I started, I had no experience of Sage or Excel, however, in the last year I have gained so many valuable new skills. In fact I mainly use Sage and Excel now. I really feel that I’m part of something special, working in a very comfortable working environment with lovely people, a great work ethic who are understanding and fun.
Book Club
Just after I started, the Bobbing book bashers was formed, a new book club. It has been really good reading a variety of books over the last 12 months and discussing the stories that we have read. In addition, we had a theatre trip in October relating to one of the books which really brought it to life.
Social Fun
The social side has been great, I’ve made some really good friends. It’s nice to spend time with coleauges at social get togethers and we’ve had many during the year. Getting to know people has been made easy, doing fund raising, Birthday celebrations, quiz’s, walking, scheduled chats with cakes/cookies and un-scheduled chats!
Christmas
Christmas here was magical, I arrived one day to find fairy lights, Christmas tree, garlands and decorations all over the building. In the lead up to Christmas we had different antics going on which made it really fun and special. We then had the most amazing Christmas do/afternoon with so many things going on, a bake off, secret Santa, a charity raffle, Cinema, table tennis, shuffle board, darts and a meal. After all of that we had a lovely Christmas break, then back in January to start a New Year.
What a brilliant year!
