Waller Glazing Testimonial

It is great to receive feedback from our clients; we strive to provide the best glazing services in Kent. This is why we were delighted to receive this Waller Glazing Testimonial.

“I would like to say thank you to all at Waller Glazing Services for the fantastic work done on my house recently. Everything went smoothly and I am very pleased with the final finish.

From the moment that Waller Glazing came around to measure up and provide me with a quote I knew this company worked quite differently to other glazing companies that had been round to see me. The initial measure up of the windows was done very quickly, I was given a few options for the windows and doors that could be fitted and some advice as to what might look best.

Something that I didn’t like about other glazing companies was the high pressure sales techniques that they employed by trying to get me to sign up on the day with a promise of a lower quote, there was none of this with Waller Glazing and I felt that the quote they would give me would be an honest one. The quote arrived a day or so later and was very competitive.

Why Choose Waller Glazing?

I decided to go with Waller Glazing because I felt they had a much more professional approach than the other glazing companies and the yearly service they provide was something that caught my eye.

The work was started about a month later and I was told the work would take 4 days and it was completed with a minimum of disruption in 4 days, everything was also left very tidy at the end of each day. The two guys that fitted the windows worked non-stop and also to a very high standard. The two small issues that I had at the end of the fit were dealt with very quickly and efficiently.

I will definitely be recommending Waller Glazing to family and friends. Well Done All.”

In August 2011 we installed fifteen uPVC double glazed windows at Canterbury Road Primary School, Sittingbourne.

Part of our service includes a free 10 year warranty services plan. Each year we return to service all moving parts of the windows we have fitted including hinges and handles.

This gives the school peace of mind that after installation all windows fitted will be problem free.

We have installed double glazed windows in many Kent schools and offer the free 10 year warranty in every quotation we provide.

As part of Biffa’s 25-year contract with West Sussex County Council to treat the County’s residual municipal waste, Waller Glazing Services were chosen to supply and fix Smart aluminium double glazed windows to the viewing galleries.

The facility will divert up to 80{5649ae563538d4e4143b9a1c2946af7df32b9f4b4d437e9732645a466ec43c51} of West Sussex’s residual waste (327,000 tonnes per year) away from landfill and use it as a resource to produce renewable energy. Presently, 85{5649ae563538d4e4143b9a1c2946af7df32b9f4b4d437e9732645a466ec43c51} of household waste goes to landfill so this is a significant reduction. It will also reduce the carbon footprint of household waste management in the County.

We were required to form a quiet, airy and light viewing gallery four storeys above the main recycling area.  To meet the required sound levels, the double glazed units were constructed from two layers of 8.8mm laminated with a 32mm cavity.  Due to the weight of the units, everything had to be lifted up to our working area by cranes.

Local children will now be able to view the new recycling machines at work from behind our windows.

There are another 60 recycling plants planned to be built across the country, all with viewing galleries and we are hoping to be the preferred supplier on every one.

The Kent 2020 Vision B2B event is now over and I can honestly say that all the preparation was worth it and has hopefully paid off. For our first show, I would say it was a great success! We set ourselves targets for the day and although we did not get as many leads as we were hoping for, some of the leads we did get were a lot better than we were expecting. A big thank you to Andy, Mark & Paul who attended the day; it was a learning curve for us all but everyone played their part extremely well and as the day progressed we all felt more comfortable on the stand.

After completing our post trade show debriefing, we concluded that the direction the stand took with regards to ‘Free Glass Surveys’ was probably the wrong one as the majority of the people attending did not have commercial premises. Maybe we should have taken the domestic route? However, the integrated blind that we were showcasing on our stand generated a lot of interest and this lead to several great contacts. Another great PR piece for us was the Imperial Stormtrooper we had wandering about on the day with corporate logos emblazoned over it! This produced a huge amount of interest and he must have been photographed hundreds of times!!

The proof, they say, is in the pudding and we will not really know how successful the day was until an analysis is done once all follow up calls are made. But it’s looking very promising at the moment and hopefully we will be back again next year! Does anyone know where Darth Vader lives?

Waller Glazing Services installed Pyroguard FireDoor 60, the specialist fire door glazing product from CGI International, throughout the new Silverstone Wing at the UK’s flagship racing circuit.

Programme delivery

Installed as vision panels in over 50 doors throughout the new wing, Waller Glazing Services value engineered the original fire glass specification with Pyroguard FireDoor 60 – to achieve time, cost and labour savings as compared with the 11mm product usually specified for 60 minute applications.

Specified as vision panels for fire doors, the slim 7mm profile of Pyroguard FireDoor 60 enabled the product to be cut on-site and ultimately drive efficiencies with the site programme.

Steve Waller, Managing Director, Waller Glazing Services, explains: “Speed of turn around and cost were two prevailing factors on this project. As a lighter and more cost effective product than 11mm glazing, Pyroguard FireDoor 60 was much quicker to install and at only 7mm thick, could be cut by hand on-site.”

About FireDoor 60

Developed specifically for the UK fire door market, FireDoor 60 was the first 7mm laminated 60 minute fire safety glass which can be cut by hand. The product has test certification for use in Document M vision panels of 300mm (width) to 1400mm (height) and offers an impact safety rating of 3B3, sound reduction of up to 34dB in specific door systems and 87 per cent light transmission.
