Additional Intervention Areas

The school was in need of additional intervention areas to provide students with the level of support they required. Waller Building Services was approached and asked to carry out these works during the summer holiday. Grounds works were carried out before two log cabins were installed. Fully compliant ramps were also formed to cater for the access.

Toilet Refurbishment

The toilets at this school were out-dated and in need of modernising. Waller Building Services was asked to refurbish three staff toilets, a disabled toilet and two student toilet blocks. Everything had to go, including the toilet blocks' asbestos roofs. We completely redecorated, laid new flooring, hung new suspended ceilings with LED panels, installed new SGL cubicle systems and replaced the old timber framed windows for new aluminium ones.

uPVC Window Installation

After carrying out many building projects for this school they requested that the Glazing Division install new uPVC double glazed windows, replacing the existing wooden windows. The new windows have transformed the look of the building as well as upgrading the thermal efficiency rating. Teleflex window winders were also fitted to enable high level windows to be opened and closed easily, increasing airflow during w\arm conditions.

uPVC Door Installation

The school requested that we replace two existing wooden doors with new double glazed uPVC doors. The doors were fitted with push bars which allows for a quick and easy exit and external lockable door handles were also fitted allowing students to easily gain access to the classrooms. This also provides security for the school with the site manager locking the doors at the end of the day. The new doors will ensure an improved thermal efficiency meaning warmer classrooms during the winter as well as enhancing the look of the building
