Swale Skills Centre

Following successfully winning a closed tender for the conversion of an industrial unit to a fully functioning Post 16 college, we worked closely with the appointed architect and the client; The Swale Academies Trust, to deliver a building that was to their needs and within an extremely short project period of only 3 months. The building was to provide several key points: Teaching facilities for Catering, Hair Dressing, Beauty Treatment Room , IT Suites & Classroom/Lecture Rooms. Welfare facilities of Male & Female Toilets, Disabled Toilet & Shower Facility. Office facilities including Reception Area, Head of Department Offices & Administration Office and Social Area of a Coffee Shop.

Swale Skills Centre

The main focal points of the new college are fully functioning commercial training kitchen, a coffee shop and hair dressing salon, both of which are open to the public, and finally a beauty training salon. The college opened in September 2015 ready for the new academic year and is a great addition to The Swale Academies Trust and to Sittingbourne town itself.

Aluminium Doors

Waller Glazing Services installed new aluminium doorsets to the school gymnasium that were required urgently as the facility was being used by a disabled basketball team. The job was completed in a four week time span as required by the client. Two existing sets of double fire exit doors were also replaced.

Window & Door Installation

Dated uPVC windows had reached their life expectancy resulting in the school not achieving the desired thermal efficiencies. New windows were installed to correct this and new cladding was fitted to match the windows. Coloured aluminium doors were also installed to improve the look and security of the classrooms.
