New School Canopy

Camulos Academy in Colchester, Essex asked us to install a new school canopy on their building. Despite the school being extremely new, there were no canopies at the rear of the building. Ofsted encourage schools and academies to provide an area that young pupils can play outside whatever the weather. The new canopy runs along most of the rear of the building and services four classrooms. This one week project has also transformed the look of the building.

Sports Hall Refurbishment

After seeing a previous case study on our website Ludgrove School contacted us to look at improving the school's sports block. The works required completely resurfacing the main hall and applying new line markings designed specifically for the school's needs. The hall walls were painted to provide a fresh feel to the large room and finally 4 new cricket nets were installed to provide the boys a facility where they can reach their full potential. the surrounding access routes and viewing areas were also enhanced with new floor coverings and decorations.

Aluminium Window Installation

This was a challenging project and very different from a normal window installation. The school required replacement windows and new steel roof supports. Over time, the original supports were becoming ineffective, each steel was specially manufactured and will support the roofs that were beginning to sag. New aluminium framed, double glazed windows were then installed. Additionally blue infill panels were fitted to mach the existing school colours. Special solar controlled double glazed units were installed, this means that the temperature inside the classrooms and gym will be controlled and cooler on hot sunny days.

Louvre Doors

These uPVC louvre doors were fitted to the boiler room of The hundred of Hoo Academy in Strood. They replaced the original wooden doors that had seen better days, each louvre door comes complete with fly screens and are available in all RAL colours. These doors are perfect for any school boiler room.
